Quality Time as a Family
God has truly blessed our family in more ways than we can ever imagine. We have four boys that each have their own loving qualities and bring such enjoyment to our lives. One of the most important things we can do as a family is spend quality time with one another. This summer we were able to do just that. We spent time on Stockton Lake on our new boat, which we really love. We spent some time in Branson in a wonderful cabin with family and enjoyed all the fun activities that Branson has to offer. Matthew surprised us with a trip to Kansas City and we had some fun at the Great Wolf Lodge. Of course don't forget the baseball games we attended in Springfield and St Louis--Go Cards. All of these activities sound like so much fun, but one of the best things we did as a family was our little camp fire in the back yard, roast some hotdogs and just relax for the evening. It's those moments that we will cherish forever and always remember the quality time we spent as a family.

Lazy Days
Well it's a Monday and our Mondays are usually chaos. But today is a different story. Landon was up most of the night sick, throwing up and all. And of course Brayden could not miss out on that, so he had to get up to just play. So of course Mommy and Daddy didn't get much sleep. I've had about 2 cups of coffee, which I'm sure is not good on my diet. And let's just say that it's 1:41 and we all are still in our PJ's. I really think that we should have more days like this. We have used the vacuum and we have done laundry, but that is about the only thing that the Keathley household has gotten done today. I asked Landon if he enjoyed today, and and all he could do was to hug me and tell me that he loved me. Oh how sweet, how I wish we could have more lazy days.

January 2009
WOW! I can't believe it's already January of 2009. Some people often ask themselves where did the year go. Well I kinda have to stop and ask myself the same question. We were a very busy family this year, but we truly have been blessed and have remained sane. With raising four boys, you never know what is going to happen or who you will have in the ER. This past year we were able to get moved into our new church, which is beautiful. Ben played baseball while Marcus played soccer. Both enjoyed their games and did a great job. Matthew spent two weeks away while with his youth and the kids from church at camps. This year we didn't have a basement flood while he was gone, so I would call it a success. We spent two weeks on the Current River and really enjoyed the time being together. We had friends and family come and spend a week with us while on the river and enjoyed their company. This year was my first year at being able to stay at home with the kids and I love it. Each and everyday the boys are growing and doing new things. They amaze me in their development and the love that we all have for one another. This year we also got to see my sister Alyssa get engaged and spend time with her and AJ. So as the new year begins, we start back up on our diets, prepare for a wedding, and begin basketball. But when it all comes down to it, we are just enjoying another year that God has given us and enjoying life.

Thanksgiving
As of tomorrow we will be only a week away from Thanksgiving and I can't wait. The memories that I have as a little girl and spending time with family and eating my grandmother's mashed potatoes and her famous "yellow" gravy. I hope as a mother of four boys, to share those memories and hope that they too will make their own. I am so thankful for my family and for great friends. I'm so thankful this year for my life. God has granted us the chance for me to stay at home with our youngest two. I enjoy being a Stay At Home Mom and look forward to each day, all the new things that they learn. I hope that each of you that read this will cherish and feel blessed for the plans that God has in store for you and for what he has done for you.
